What does it mean to volunteer with us?
Volunteering is nothing new, nor is mental health. The problem is that for decades, first responders have lived in a bubble, the bubble that kills them. First responders show up on your worst day, you hardly ever get to interact with a first responder in a good setting that is optimal. The deaths, the fights, the shootings, the chases, the kids dying. The value of your support is not just for volunteer hours, we are looking for a special person. We are looking for the person who wants to stand up for mental health, stand up for those who stand up for them when they don’t have a voice.
The choice to volunteer with us means that you are going to help provide a positive experience for every guest who participates in our events. Those people who choose to participate in our events are the same people who are donating monetarily to save lives, the lives that show up to save yours.
When you arrive to volunteer with us, you are directly impacting a first responder, a family and a community. The trickle effect is real, to impact a single first responder and save their life and/or marriage will directly impact the community they serve, which will filter to the world. Keeping well trained and heroic first responders on the streets is necessary.
Touch a Life…
It all begins with you… The First Response Wellness Foundation needs your help! We are a nationwide organization that is regularly hosting events, trainings, outreach programs and so much more. Without your help, we are nothing. Help save a life through volunteering with our organization.
The questions you have, we shall answer…
-
Volunteers are necessary in all 50 states, we are rapidly expanding and constantly looking for events to attend or hold in every state within the United States. Your support, whether called on regularly or rarely, we need your help.
-
That is PERFECTLY fine! We create a geographical data sheet that maintains all of our volunteers contact information and geographical location. This allows us to only call on you for support when we need help within a reasonable distance of where you reside.
-
Unfortunately, no it does not. Our membership is set by strict guidelines, we encourage people who are law enforcement, dispatchers, firefighters/EMS and spouses of those professions to apply to be a member of the organization.
You choosing to volunteer with us, is purely to help change the world. We will still host “open events” to volunteers that allow you to take advantage of somethings we offer to our members.
Requirements To Be A Volunteer.
